Family Constellations in Cascais
What if the same feeling or patterns keeps showing up in your life - even when you've tried to change it?
Family Constellations helps you explore what may be underneath a feeling pattern or situation that keeps coming back in your life.
Sunday 27 September - Luna House, Cascais
Why Family Constellations
Sometimes we understand a problem with our mind, but still find ourselves repeating the same pattern or feeling the same way.
You might struggle with feeling not good enough, find it difficult to set boundaries, feel like you don’t belong, keep experiencing similar relationship patterns, or simply feel stuck without understanding why.
Family Constellations offers a way to explore what may be underneath these patterns and to see your situation from a different perspective.
A Family Constellation takes place in a group. Most people join as participants, while one person brings a personal question or something in their life they would like to explore.
The person bringing the question briefly shares with me what they would like to look at. They then choose people from the group to represent themselves and other people, feelings or elements connected to their question.
For example, someone exploring “Why do I never feel good enough?” might choose someone to represent themselves, someone to represent “not good enough”, and perhaps other people or elements that become relevant.
The representatives are then placed in different positions in the room. They are not acting or playing a part, and they don’t need to know the person or their story. They are simply invited to notice what happens when they stand in that particular place.
This is often the part that is hardest to explain without experiencing it yourself. Representatives may notice unexpected emotions, physical sensations, impulses or a desire to move — things they were not experiencing before stepping into the role. People are often surprised by what they notice, especially because they may know very little about the story they are representing.
The person who brought the question watches the constellation from the outside while I facilitate the process. Step by step, something that was previously only felt or experienced internally can become visible in the room.
What Happens during a Constellation?
How can I participate?
You don’t need to bring your own question or have your own constellation to benefit from the experience.
Most people join as participants. During a constellation, you may be chosen to represent a person, a feeling, or another element connected to someone else’s question. You simply step into the place you are given and notice what happens. There is nothing to perform, understand or get right.
Being a representative is not only about supporting the person whose constellation is taking place. People often find that the role they are chosen for resonates with something in their own life. Within constellation work, there is often a sense that the roles we are drawn into are meaningful rather than random. A role may touch something familiar, bring a new perspective, or allow you to experience something in yourself differently.
For this reason, participants can have their own meaningful experience — and sometimes experience a sense of movement, release or healing — without ever bringing a personal question of their own.
The same can be true when you observe. Watching someone else’s constellation can touch something in your own story, bring recognition, or help you see a familiar pattern from a completely different perspective.
You are always free to say no to a role, to step out at any moment, or to participate only as an observer. No previous experience is needed.
During this gathering, two people will bring their own personal question and receive a constellation. Everyone else is welcome to experience the process as a representative or observer.
